In Ayurveda, moong beans are revered for their numerous health benefits. πŸ’―

I have seen my mother using these beans for multiple recipes and they all taste very good. When I traveled to multiple states in India, I observed all the states using these bean to create their recipes which were unique in taste and flavor but had the same nourishment.

I use them 3-4 times in a week in my house, different ways in my cooking, not only because they are nutritious but also because they are delicious.

You get them in diffrent types like with skin, without skin and whole and they all have the same benefits. These legumes are considered tridoshic, meaning they balance all three doshas – Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.

The properties of Moong Bean are:

  • Rich in protein, fiber
  • Rice in antioxidants
  • Aid in digestion, promote detoxification, and support weight management.
  • Pacify Pitta dosha, calming inflammation and acidity in the body.
  • Nourishment to tissues, enhance energy levels, and are recommended for various Ayurvedic detox

They are easily available on amazon or indian store and they can be stored for months without getting bad.

so, enjoy this recipie and let me know in comments if you have any of your favourite mung bean recipe
