Frequently asked questions

What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is not merely a system of medicine, it is a way of life.
This system encourages us to catch imbalance before it begins to create disease. Through food, spices, herbs, natural oils, daily and seasonal rhythms, and gentle seasonal cleansing, the body, mind, soul, and senses are brought into balance- and maybe even bliss. Ayurvedic practices improve digestion, nourish the tissues, calm the mind, and discourage toxicity.

While holistic nutritionists are more interested in the person as a whole, most of the nutritionists have advanced degrees and board certifications, but technically speaking, in the US, anybody who offers general nutritional advice can call himself a “nutritionist.”

Ayurveda promotes physical and mental balance by addressing root causes of imbalances, improving digestion, immunity, energy, and mental clarity. It look at all the aspects of the health and provide holistic solutions

Doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha) are mind-body energies. Understanding your dosha helps tailor diet, lifestyle, and therapies for optimal health.

It focuses on holistic health, personalized diet, and lifestyle guidance, addressing the root cause rather than just treating symptom.

There are five main aspects of personal health: physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and intellectual. In order to be considered “well,” it is imperative for none of these areas to be neglected.
